The truth about EGGS

July 13, 2010

As you may have seen in many of my recipes and in my newsletters, I’m quite the big fan of EGGS. But many people freak out when they see how many whole eggs (that’s right…whole) I eat in one week.

“Isabel. Aren’t you worried about getting high cholesterol by eating all of those eggs?”

Definitely NOT. And my friend and fellow fitness author Mike Geary explains it best, in great detail, in the article below:

There is a lot of terrible misinformation roaming around about eggs and Mike does an awesome job of clearing it all up in this article.

  1. Isabel,
This was a very interesting article. I have always been one to eat the whole eggs, but I didn’t realize the nutrients in the yolk. I have switched over to organic free range eggs and have notice a big difference in taste.

    Thanks for posting that.

  2. My husband is allergic to gluten. Will this diet work for him?

  3. Margie, the DSP will absolutely work for your husband. I recommend staying away from grains, which makes it much easier to avoid gluten.

  4. I eat food for life bread Ezekiel 4:9® Organic Sprouted Whole Grain can I eat the pasta and cereal from foods for life.?

  5. Chris, I only recommend eating Ezekiel 4:9 – no other Ezekiel products.

  6. Thanks for helping to spread the truth about eggs! I eat them literally every day- most mornings begin with sauteed spinach and eggs and I feel wonderfully full and satisfied the whole morning. I was traveling last month and popped in the supermarket for some healthy snacks. I purchased hard boiled eggs from the deli and found their taste to be so far off from the organic ones that I was used to. Amazing the difference in quality!

  7. Hi Isabel,
Downloaded all your e-programme files yesterday and read right through the manual straight away. (Willl order hard copy later.) Whole thing makes so much sense, and finally, finally, here’s a programme recommending ways to lose unwanted fat WITHOUT hidden marketing for supplements and pills/tablets. That is why you are so convincing.

Many many thanks for recommending whole eggs – it always makes me see red when other people recommend throwing away the yolks! So pointless.

I’ve already pretty well already eliminated sugar and bread from my diet, so will carry on from there. I won’t give up dairy, but I must cut out all this coffee-drinking.

Incidentally, when a friend came round the other day for a quick cup of coffee, she could not believe that I NEVER have any stocks of biscuits, bread, muffins etc. Sadly, instead of standing firm, I felt I had to go out and buy some of this carb stuff for her, but this was a mistake. She wouldn’t take the opened packets away with her,so I was landed with two packets of manufactured biscuits tasting like sugar-flavoured cardboard. Just to throw away.

For anybody struggling with your Diet Solution, why not also draw attention to the improvement in their taste buds!
The taste of home cooking (disasters included) beats all ready-to-heat meals absolutely hollow.
