3 Simple, Healthy Meal Plans You Can Start Right Now

Posted by isabel

Is it possible to put together a simple and healthy meal plan?  One that is not going to be complicated and hard to follow?  Yes.  It is possible and I will show you how.   The healthy meal plans below will help you achieve your health goals while simultaneously shedding fat off your body.

Here are 3 healthy meal plans you can get started on right now.

Breakfast

Protein should be included in every meal throughout the day and breakfast is no exception.  Make sure to include organic eggs, cottage cheese, raw nut butter or smoked fish as one component of your healthy breakfast.  Carbohydrates should also be included in the form of oatmeal, sprouted grain bread, fruit and/or vegetables.

3 great sample breakfasts are:

Oatmeal with almond butter, topped with fresh berries and a bit of Stevia to sweeten.

2 hard boiled eggs, 1 slice sprouted grain toast and ½ grapefruit

Smoked salmon over sliced tomato and 1 green apple

Lunch

The same rules apply as breakfast.  An easy way to ensure that you always have a healthy protein available for lunch is to pack leftovers from dinner the night before.  Leftover hamburger, chicken legs or wild fish are all great to include in a salad or over vegetables.

3 great sample lunches are:

Baked Tilapia over sautéed spinach, green salad with chick peas (oil and vinegar as dressing) followed by  ½ cup of pineapple.

Leftover chicken legs with ½ sweet potato and broccoli.

Lean hamburger over portabella mushroom and brown rice.  Cooked vegetables or a green salad.  1 orange.

Dinner

You can really be creative with dinner.  Look for recipes that are quick and easy and modify them with your own healthy ingredients as needed.  Again, always remember to include protein and carbohydrates.

3 great sample dinners are:

Mexican salad: Ground beef over shredded lettuce and tomato, guacamole and brown rice.

Grilled Salmon over asparagus, green salad (oil and vinegar as dressing) followed by a  fresh fruit salad.

Buffalo meat balls over rice pasta with sautéed broccoli.

Snacks

You never want to let your body get too hungry.  Hunger often leads to binge eating of unhealthy food and makes sticking to a healthy eating regimen much more difficult.  It’s important to keep snacks handy so you never experience hunger or a blood sugar low without having a healthy option nearby.

3 great snacks are:

2 Tbsp almond butter on ½ apple

Trail mix made up of walnuts, almonds, pumpkin seeds and dried fruit (no sugar added)

Cottage cheese and pineapple

Incorporate just a few of these meals into your daily eating regimen and you will see an incredible difference in your weight loss results.  Following simple and healthy meal plans like these is the first step in achieving your health and fitness goals.

Is it possible to get hardcopies of the book(s) or is this plan just available in computer downloads?

    • robert says:

Many people have asked us to make a hard copy available, so we now have an opportunity for you to get that from our download page. It’s not included, but we’ve made the cost as minimal as possible to accommodate all of our customers’ requests. To purchase the hard copy there is an additional fee of $19.95. Once you purchase the digital version of the Diet Solution Program, you will have an opportunity to order physical copies on the download page.

We continue to wish you good health and happiness and look forward to sharing the Diet Solution program with you.

  13. Lynn says:

    I am allergic to shellfish,nuts,eggs,chocolateand I am diabetic.I also don’t do well with fish.Suggestions?

Lynn, there are plenty of foods you can still eat. Consult the manual for meats, poultry, fruits, vegetables, grains, etc. that are DSP-approved.

  14. Melissa says:

Paula – Do you like deviled eggs? Isabel has a great deviled egg recipe that i make at least once a week. Instead of snacking on nuts you could try snacking on deviled eggs, and also her guacamole recipe is really good too. Carrots are good to dip in the guacomole.

  18. robert says:

Angela, you may want to change the way you are eating. If you are not feeling great, it’s possible that you’re not actually a mixed type. Certain foods that you are eating are most likely contributing to the fact that you are not feeling great, as well as your weight gain. It is important to listen to your body to develop a healthy eating plan that is right for you.

  19. bahle says:

Hi, is it good to it all bran and low fat yogourt for breakfast?

  20. bahle ngema says:

hi is it okay if i eat all bran and low fat yogourt for breakfast?

    • robert says:

All Bran (like pretty much all other cereals) is processed, so it is not your best bet for breakfast. If you are going to eat yogurt, it should be plain Greek yogurt – low-fat yogurt typically contains preservatives.

  21. rich says:

    hi there robert
u mentioned natural low fat yogart contains additives?
i regular cosume organic low fat natural yogurt
so can u plz explain to me a bit more about your claim thanx……………..

    • robert says:

The organic ones are definitely better than others because they don’t have artificial sweeteners or additives like the others. I wouldn’t recommend getting the low fat yogurt though, because in order to make it low fat, they have to process it.

  22. shawn says:

how do you get access to e books,if your computer crashes after being downloaded?

  23. jim says:

I have been teaching biochemistry/physiology for many years and have a special interest in nutritional biochemistry. I have been an advocate of the low carb/insulin resistance diet for many years and teach this in my classes. I commend you for taking the real science of biochemistry of insulin resistance and applying it to everyday weight loss plans. Wish BA was still alive to see that his science works!

  24. Michele says:

  29. ashley says:

are these recipes gareented to work plus where can i buy some of the foods?

    • robert says:

These recipes are all DSP-approved. Their effectiveness in your personal diet, however, depends on how your body reacts to them. You need to pay attention to what makes you feel good and what helps you lose/maintain weight – it’s different for everyone.

  30. ashley says:

i also have another question do i have to workout aswell and if so what exercise would work best for this program?

  31. Donna Parker says:

I would really like it if I could read the answer to all of these questions. Is there a way to read the answer to the questions above.

Is Ezekiel Bread Okay on the program?

Thank you so much can wait to try your program.
    Donna

  32. Angelyka says:

Hello, Thank you for the link, I haven’t started this yet, I just need to make sure of a few things before I start. In place of pasta, can I use spagetti squash? And what can I use in place of rice? I’m Puertorican, rice and beans are like a way of life for me. Can I have coffee on this, and if so, does it have to be black? Thank you for your time.
    Angel

  33. renee says:

Iam just starting the program. I like popcorn with light butter, is that okay?

  34. Manana says:

Im about to start with this eating Plan and really looking foward to it, hope i’ll be happy next week and would really love to receive more recipes soon!

  35. dod says:

hey isabel … mmmm some meals are strage for me cause iam egyptian :D :D :D .. is there a solution ?????

  36. bridget says:

hi im just starting this program and i wanted to have an idea of how much i will be losing per week. i wannt to lose 20 pounds as soon as i can.

  37. Ashley Schexnayder says:

I am wondering, i know you said that we can purchace the hard “copy” for $19.95. Does that mean it is $19.95 per book, or do you get the whole set that was spoken of in the video?

  38. Sonya says:

i am deathly allergic to tomatoes and i usually sub. green chiklies or some type of seasoning what othe suggestion do you have

  39. ANGEL says:

    Hi,
I’m still waiting for an answer to my question, it was can I sub spaghetti squash for pasta, and if so, what can I sub for the rice? As I said before, rice and beans is a staple in our Puertorican household. Also, I drink super skim milk, is that bad too? Why grass fed instead of grain fed? Pf you cannot answer me here, please feel free to drop me an email. Thank you for your time.
    Angel

    • robert says:

Angel, you can absolutely substitute spaghetti squash for pasta! There is information about what kind of rice to eat in the Grains section of the DSP manual. As for the milk – it is not recommended on the DSP.

  40. bronze says:

    great health & diet advice

  41. lynda says:

    HI Isabel,
Really yr recipes are really delicious, they make us forgetting that we ‘re on diet but what about milk? Can we iclude it in our breakfast? thanks

  42. Kim says:

I am a vegan and as one would guess I am having some difficulty balancing the protein I need as well as keeping my weight down. Are there any alternatives to the dreded tofu? Any suggestions are welcome. Thank you.

    • robert says:

Kim, tofu actually is not recommended on the DSP. If you read through the manual, you will see all the different options Isabel presents for how to get protein in your diet (many are not meat).

  43. debi says:

why is milk not recommened but cottage cheese is?

    • robert says:

Debi, that’s actually a great question. If you’re intolerant to milk, then I don’t recommend that you have cottage cheese either. Cottage cheese is very high in protein, though (unlike straight milk), so it’s a better option. But again, if you’re trying to stay away from all dairy, you will lose weight faster without cottage cheese.

  44. taylor says:

Just wondering if weet-bix are good for you? not sure if u get them in the US? i eat them every morning for breakfast. Also is rye bread a good bread?

    • robert says:

Weet-bix contains whole grain cereals, so it is not DSP approved. Isabel goes into great detail about grains and how they effect our bodies in the Grains section of the DSP manual. As for rye bread – the only bread recommended on the DSP is organic sprouted bread like Ezekiel 4:9.

  45. Frank Wdowiak says:

    Hi Isabel,

Will whole grain wraps work as a sub for rolls or bread?

    • robert says:

Frank, the only bread that is DSP approved is Ezekiel 4:9 organic sprouted bread. Check out the Grains chapter in the DSP manual – Isabel goes into great detail about why that is the only bread she recommends.

  46. hannah says:

can you have pooched eggs instead of fried eggs or is this just as bad?

  47. sarah says:

We make our own bread from organic hard red and hard white wheat berries after we grind them. The other ingredients are 1 egg, olive oil, raw honey, yeast. Would this be DSP approved?
What about plain homemade yogurt? Plain Greek yogurt?

  48. Jeanne Harrell says:

I am diabetic and also have to contend with a daily dose of blood thinner which restricts my intake of vitamin K. If green vegetables are a large part of your plan, what could I substitute?
    Thank you.

  49. Ina Aduddell says:

What about Smart Balance in place of butter

  50. Angelyka says:

Thanks Robert for answering my question. :-) We raise cows, why is grass fed better than grain fed? Also, I have a recipe for brown rice pudding, made with stevia drops and almond milk, you can use coconut milk for a different flavor, but you wont miss the white rice, I promise you that! Let me know if this is of interest to you. Gracias
    Angelyka

  51. Jeannette Brooks says:

    Is Almond milk okay?

    • robert says:

Jeannette, almond milk may be a good alternative for some when dairy and soy milk are no longer an option. Unfortunately many brands of almond milk contain some form of unhealthy oil (like safflower oil) and high amounts of sugar. If you can find a brand that does not add sugar or oil, it is ok.

  52. mark says:

can i use sprouted wheat in cake cookies something like that or it will give a bad taste

  53. Judy says:

I just ordered the books on Monday, so I also have a question regarding milk products. I found a greek yogurt that has a good anount of protein, is that not allowed on the DSL diet?
I am glad to see the post on raw milk, we have a farmer in the area who sells raw milk. I love the taste of it! Thank you for posting a helpful informative site!

  54. michelle says:

Hi what can be substituted for organic sprouted bread because i have checked the health shops in my country and they don’t carry this type of bread. help plz

  55. ann ramse says:

    Do you recommend olive oil?

  56. Bemma says:

why can’t we use virgin oliv oil for cooking

  57. Cynthia MacKenzie says:

My husband is allergic to dairy, what can I use in your recipes that call for butter.

    Thank you
    Cyndy

  58. Gay says:

Hi, can you explain to me, what is wrong with soy products. Im lactose intollerant and have gallbladder problem so shouldnt have eggs or fowl so wondering where to get protein from??

  59. Janice says:

what oil is recommended for cooking? Thank you for your good information. It’s sorely needed.

    • TheDietSolution says:

Janice, you can use coconut oil or butter for cooking. Extra virgin olive oil is fine for other uses, but I don’t recommend using it to cook with.

  60. Kit says:

I’m deathly allergic to treenuts and peanuts. Is there another way I could make trail mix without using these? I’ve always tried to follow meal plans but had this problem. Please reply or email me! Thanks!

  61. pat says:

Are the books an additional cost? I would like to get them.

  62. lauren says:

will the things taught in the video work without buying the book?

    • TheDietSolution says:

Applying these principles to your diet will definitely help, but the book goes into much greater detail (and covers even more topics) about nutrition.

  63. Larry says:

Is there anything I should do different if I am a type 2 diabetic? Is this diet good for Diabetics?

    • TheDietSolution says:

The Diet Solution Program is great for diabetics! You will, however, need to keep a close eye on your blood sugar and make sure you talk to your doctor before starting anything. Take a look at our Facebook page [www.facebook.com/thedietsolution] – our members post questions and share stories regarding their progress on the DSP. This could give you a better idea of what it’s like to be on the DSP as a diabetic.

  64. Bonnie says:

what about the spicy black bean burgers at costco? they seem really healthy……

    • TheDietSolution says:

Bonnie, I would stay away from those black bean burgers – they contain soy, gluten, and other additives that I wouldn’t recommend consuming.

  65. amanda says:

hi just wanted to know would this eating better ragime work for me as I had a gastrich band fitted four years ago it is now of course piling all back on plus only the naughty foods go through easy i am a sugar holic all or nothing can not do a little of this or that bit like a alcoholic the crave for something nice is so strong
the calorie intake for the first few years were very low but now because of the naughty stuff much higher
by the way i am so glad that there is someone out there that agrees with me that all thesse veg oils are not good for you.

    • TheDietSolution says:

Amanda, this program is set up in a way that it can work for everyone! If you as addicted to sugar as you say, the first week or so may be rough as you de-tox. After that, however, many people say they never even crave sugar anymore. You can check out the DSP Facebook page [www.facebook.com/thedietsolution] to hear how DSP members have dealt with cutting out sugar.

  66. DeniseDykstra27 says:

It has been 8 days (began on my 38th Birthday as a present to myself) since starting the DSP. I have lost 8 pounds! This is the first time I have ever REALLY tried to follow a weight loss plan. The hardest part has been eliminating sugar. I am very addicted. I usually began my day with a Pepsi and some cookies, or just Pepsi. I drank soda all day and never felt hungry and just ate junk food for about 3 hours at night-no real meals. The cravings have started to subside. I have been pretty irritable all week, but am feeling better now. I am currently 238 lbs, down from 246. My goal is 160. I am having trouble eating my 3 meals and 2 snacks as I am a busy single mother with 3 kids. I tried to make it easy on myself and just put my kids on the plan with me as I want them to learn how to eat healthy and like it. Any suggestions on how NOT to miss a meal? I am super dedicated to this eating plan and losing the 80 lbs that have been holding me hostage for more than 20 years.

    • TheDietSolution says:

Denise, try to prepare some snacks and meals ahead of time – that way your busy schedule will not interfere with your healthy eating.

  67. Louise says:

Hi Isabel! DSP has changed my life! i’ve been on it for nearly 2 weeks now and i realised how low my protein intake really was! No wonder i was all the time feeling so tired and constipated!! I’m not a meat lover really so i have meat only for dinner. For lunch i’m trying to substitute with beans, eggs and greek yoghurt. My question is about nuts: i include them in breakfast and the 2 snacks as protein portions. That would add to 3oz of nuts/seeds per day. What would you consider a healthy amount? thanks so much!

  68. Liz says:

Your latest post regarding wheat concurs with my doctor’s recommendations to a point. In her view, the refining process of wheat is what makes it unhealthy. She encourages sprouted grain breads and the use of non-wheat flour. What is your view?

  69. TheDietSolution says:

Ina, stick with organic butter. Smart Balance contains (among many other things that should be avoided) artificial flavoring.

  70. Todd says:

Just wondering if Ezekiel 4:9 sprouted grain pasta is okay on this diet…? Thanks.

  71. Leila says:

Hi Isabel. You said that Smart Balance is not good. What about Earth Balance? Sometimes the organic butter taste funny, like “cow bar”.

  72. Gail says:

Since beginning the DSP I feel wonderful. I have lost 9 lbs in 6 weeks and believe that I’m on the path to a healthier life style.

I am motivated to keep on the DSP.

    Thanks for this program.

  73. Katie says:

Have you ever heard of shakeology? It is a protein shake that does not have soy, any artificial sweeteners, or anything that seems to be prohibited on the DSP.

  74. Katie says:

Blue Diamond makes an unsweetened almond milk that does not include any added sugar or oils. They do have one that is sweetened so it may have something not DSP approved. I use it to make lattes and the amlond milk has such a nice flavor, it really makes a tasty latte without any syrups added.

  75. Katie says:

Have you ever owned a vitamix or BlendTec Total Blender? I own the vitamix and I grind down sprouted brown rice that I get at whole foods and make sprouted rice flour that replaces flour in any recipes that would be non DSP approved because of the flour. Vitamix and Total Blenders can boil and freeze, as well as mill. You can make raw vegetable soup in 90 seconds with vegetables and hot water, or with whole fruits and a splash of water, whole fruit juices. Throw 1 cup or so of ice and the fruit juice becoems fruit sorbet. You can make raw nut butters by throwing in the nuts, a little bit of oil, and grinding it down. I made an orange “ice cream” using 1 orange, slice of green cabbage, 3 baby carrots, and small slice of yellow squash. Add a small amount of stevia (instead of organic cane sugar), and 1-1.5 cups of ice, it will blend into an orange julius tasting drink or orange creamscicle, yet there is no dairy. The veggies break down to the point that the fruit overpowers the veggies and you wouldnt know they were in there.

  76. Linda says:

What flours do you recommend if we are not using whole whear flour? The suggestion of the Ezekiel is good, the expense of that bread is HIGH…………

  77. Cindy says:

Where do you get sprouted bread? I haaven’t heard of Ezekial bread.

  78. lena says:

I cook with extra virgin olive oil, why do not recommend it for cooking

    • TheDietSolution says:

Check out the section about Cooking with Fats in the DSP manual for an in-depth explanation as to why I don’t recommend cooking with olive oil.

  79. Janis says:

I just ordered your books and can’t wait to try the plan. I walk/jogg 15-20 miles per week but cannot lose weight. I am a type 2 diabetic. I thought my inability to lose weight was because of the diabetes. I never heard that sweetners could hinder weight loss until I saw your video. I use 12-14 packs of Equal per day, plus I drink 1-2 diet sodas. Recently, my doctor noticed jauntice in my eyes, which could be caused by toxic overload of the liver. Could this be caused by too much sweetners? If so, would Stevia be ok to use in such quantities?

  80. Pooja says:

im pure vegiterian even can’t eat eggs.can u suggest me other diet plan 4me?

  81. Sydney says:

What if you are vegetarian? Are beans and rice and burritos without meat okay ?

  82. Brenda says:

I haven’t started the plan yet, even though I purchased the download version over a month ago, I am taking my time and reading all the information which is very useful. I have a library dedicated to weight loss and I must say that this program seems to be the one that makes the most sense to me. It’s easy, it’s wholesome and you can eat carbs. I can live with that. What I really want you to know Isabelle is that I absolutely love that you didn’t sell us the book and forget about us. The video you just posted was motivational and I love that you actually respond to the questions posted for the DSP.
That in itself is a small miracle these days.
Thank you, Thank you, Thank you. Looking forward to starting the DSP.

  83. Brenda says:

Sorry Isabel, I spelled your name wrong!

  84. Kathy from UK says:

Isabel, i know you state soy products are bad for you, but i think i remember that soy sauce is O.K. because it has been fermented, can you confirm that as i have been using it now and again as flavoring and salad dressing.

  85. Brenda says:

I just read the first comment that states that Smart Balance is not good to use. Why is that? Isn’t it an non hydrogenated butter. My household uses this product all the time as we thought it was better than butter or margarine.
My second question is how can I purchase books for the DSP if I do not want to or can not do the download version of DSP. Because being on the computer for a long period of time causes pain in my shoulders. Thanks Isabel, for your help.

  86. Mary Lou Fogarty says:

I am looking forward to great results on this plan!

  87. Janelle says:

Kathy, Bragg’s Aminos is much better to use than soy sauce

  88. Lisa says:

I’m loving the plan. I’ve been losing weight since I’ve had my baby but I’m still pretty heavy. My weight is 225 and my husband is around 450. How much should we eat? The calculations and don’t go up high enough for us?

    Thanks for your help.
    L

  89. Carlton says:

Where can I buy Breads made with:
Sprouts, Rice, Spelt, Millet & Quinoa.
I do not find these breads at Wal-Mart.
    Carlton

  90. Carlton says:

What about the fat in Bacon – It was on the Mao Clinic diet?

  91. j says:

whats in whole wheat bread thats not good to eat?

  92. Alina says:

Carlton, you’re not going to find “breads made with: sprouts, rice, spelt, millet & quinoa in Wal-Mart. There’s a bread called Ezekiel, that is sold in the frozen bread section of Publix. If not Whole Foods or Fresh Markets have other kinds of breads that meet your standards.

  93. Sharon Beschorner says:

I have started on the 14 day jump start meal plan and I am doing great with this. My concern is that in 3 weeks I am headed for France for almost 3 weeks and I don’t want to totally reverse everything that I have done. Any suggestions for me during my travels? Thanks

  94. arne says:

Hi Isabel! After reading all the above comments, I did not see a reply to the asking: (1) Are you saying NO to drinking soy milk? Is it because it is processed? (2) Are you saying NO/YES to drinking almond milk? Ahead of time, thanks for your reply!

    • TheDietSolution says:

Arne, I don’t recommend drinking soy milk. If you are making your own almond milk, it’s absolutely fine to drink. I wouldn’t suggest consuming the almond milk you can buy in stores though – most contain sugar.

  95. JP says:

When you say to eliminate all wheat and milk for 2 weeks, does that include sprouted grain bread and pure almond milk?

  96. curvy lady says:

what are your thoughts about instant oatmeal? I typically have instant oatmeal, and throw bran and pecans or walnuts in for protein, at breakfast. Is oatmeal on your ‘good carbs’ or ‘bad carbs’ list? I oatmeal in your healthy meals, but wasn’t sure if the instant type was equivalent.

  97. Cindy K. says:

Isabel – what is wrong with using a microwave? Is it just for cooking oatmeal that you don’t like to use it, or do you have something against microwaves in general?

    • TheDietSolution says:

Cindy, I am anti-microwaves in general. When you “cook” your food in the microwave, you damage the molecular structure of the food, making it unrecognizable to your body. Eliminating the use of a microwave (or at least greatly reducing it) will have a positive effect on your health and your ability to lose weight.

  98. TheDietSolution says:

Sharon, it may be difficult to eat only DSP-approved foods while you are traveling, but it’s not impossible. Just try to pick foods that are closest to DSP foods. You could also bring some raw nuts and other snacks for in between meals – this will make it easier to stay on track.

  99. helen says:

    HI ISABEL

IS THIS DIET GOOD FOR DIABETICS?

    • TheDietSolution says:

Helen, this is great for diabetics! My dad has diabetes and has greatly improved his health since following the DSP.

  100. Marilynn Gabel says:

I have found that most grocery stores carry Ezekiel breads in the frozen section, usually in a small area devoted to health foods and organic foods.

  101. nasim khan says:

if i cook veg, chicken or fish with vegetable oil is it alright to have it ?

  102. rod says:

awesome plan. I’ve heard so much about it. I’m gonna give it a try.

  103. Liz Horton says:

I love this program and have learned so much. This is very doable. This is my thrird week and I love that you are here for us. thanks so much.

  104. Katie says:

If you are anti microwave how do you work within a busy schedule when most do not have time to make meals to order, especially lunch. How would you reheat food if not using the microwave?

  105. Nanny says:

Hi Isabel, I am planning to start with DSP but before I decide to buy the package I would like to clarify that there are enough options for the vegetarians as I am a pure vegetarian and most of the sample meal/breakfast/snack plans etc.. shown on your website are non-vegetarians this is pulling me back to go ahead with DSP..

    Please clarify.

  106. Robin Gillett says:

I’ve been on the plan now for 3 weeks and am down 9 lbs. Aside from the weight loss, you’ve helped me discover something that I believe has been an issue all my life and I wasn’t able to piece it together. That is, gluten intolerance. When I read the list of symptoms, I was in total shock! Some of the things listed i’ve experienced since I was a kid and doctors were never able to explain! I eliminated wheat from my diet for a week before I actually started following the plan and noticed a differance in the way my clothes fit within that first week! I’m feeling better and some of the symptoms have disappeared already! Amazing! God bless you, Isabel! Thank you for sharing your knowledge with all of us that have struggled for so long….I believe you have an approach that is truly doable for anyone for life!

  107. Sherri G says:

I just found your information today and am very excited about it. We live in Guatemala so I purchase raw milk and eggs from a neighbor, plus I’m hoping the fresh fruits and veg’s in the market are organic, but there’s no way of knowing. I can’t get coconut oil here, so would doing stir-fry with EV olive oil be better than using corn oil? Can’t get Ezekiel bread, so is there a way to make sprouted bread when you can’t start with the whole grain? Also, can I grind up white and/or brown rice (oatmeal too) in my Vitamix for flour for bread? Recipes? How could I sprout rice first? We don’t have health food stores, so we’ll just have to do the best we can! Looking forward to your 7-day program coming to my email! Hoping to be able to buy your program soon. Thank you so much!! Blessings from Guatemala! =]

  108. maca says:

hi! im having a little trouble with the bread…does any glutten free bread works???
and…can i eat rice crakers? (organics and plain flavor)

    • TheDietSolution says:

Maca, the only bread allowed on the DSP is Ezekiel 4:9. As for rice crackers, I think most of them contain soy, so I wouldn’t recommend them.

  109. Robert T says:

There seems to be the same basic restrictions of food choices with the DSP as with the many other diet programs currently comming out of the USA with the same recipie types in tow, which are very offten giving bland results, which then have to have taste sort of injected into them with extra salt or an exotic mix of herbs. As with many other diet programs. There is one small difference how ever. The simple act of making a pizza for instance, has been made all the more complicated with the DSP because of the restrictions of ingrediants that are allowed this is resulting in an even more bland pizza, if that were ever possible.

Any suggestions on how to make the food recomended by the DSP taste as good as the off the shelf stuff.

  110. TheDietSolution says:

Robert, our DSP members post all kinds of recipes and other food suggestions on the DSP Facebook page: http://www.facebook.com/thedietsolution. You can get a lot of ideas there, or from the recipes section on this website.

  111. Glorya says:

I have high cholestoral and coconut oil is suppose to be a no no… So are eggs.
    Should I just dive in?

  112. Loretta says:

are banans good to eat everyday…how about whole wheat wraps 90cal and 13grams fiber no sugar

  113. TheDietSolution says:

Loretta, bananas are a great option but keep in mind that a banana counts as 2 carbs. As for the whole wheat wraps – I would not recommend eating them, regardless of how many calories and grams of fiber they contain. It’s the ingredients you need to be worried about.

  114. TheDietSolution says:

Glorya, many people have had a lot of success lowering their cholesterol on the DSP. However, you should consult with your doctor before making any drastic changes to your diet.

  115. Dean says:

    Excellent info. and meal choices.

  116. patsy lambert says:

can we drink white milk regular or skim and why

    • TheDietSolution says:

Patsy, if you are going to consume dairy on a regular basis, it should be raw (unpasteurized) and certified organic. There’s a whole chapter in the DSP manual that outlines why you should stay away from most dairy products.

  117. Kristen says:

Isabel, I have a major sweet tooth, one of my biggest weaknesses is chocolate, where does Dark Chocolate fit into your plan? Or does it? Thanks so much!

  118. Ruth Beeton says:

Great stuff…cant wait to try these meal ideas.

  119. deadseasalt says:

Thank you for your article. Great advice! The comments were interesting also.

  120. Helen Paul says:

I want to know if it’s ok to use an Atkins Chocolate shake in the morning for breakfast. It’s only 160 calories and 2 carbs.

  121. monica b. says:

where do i buy the almond butter?

  122. TheDietSolution says:

Monica, I get my favorite almond butter at Trader Joe’s. You should be able to buy almond butter at most grocery stores though. There are some stores that even make it (and other nut butters) fresh right in the store.

  123. TheDietSolution says:

Helen, take a look at the list of ingredients on Atkins shakes – the list is incredibly long. I recommend staying away from products that have ingredient lists that are even half that long. Atkins shakes contain sucralose too, which is something you should avoid. So in answer to your question, I would say no to using an Atkins Chocolate Shake in the morning for breakfast.

  124. Dwi Rahayu says:

    Thanks 4 the article…
Wishing I can follow the instruction..

  125. Kiana says:

How many nuts should you be eating as a snack?

  126. Una says:

Hi, just found this site. Very interesting, and I particularly like the thorough scientific info. Dare I ask….given there is so much focus on the liver….how does wine feature in the diet plan. It’s an integral part of our evening meal, and I can’t imagine not having a glass with dinner. Will that impact the effectiveness of the programme ?

  127. Judy says:

I was wondering if you can eat sweet potatoes and sprouted grain bread as a carb source, even if it is not after a workout? Also, I drink a lot of crystal light because I completely avoid sugar in beverages. Is that permitted?

    • TheDietSolution says:

Sweet potatoes are a great food to eat, and sprouted grain bread is the only kind of bread that is okay. As for Crystal Light – I would suggest staying away from that. It contains aspartame, which is not something you want to be consuming.

  128. Daisy says:

1/4 cup, I usuallly cannot eat that many at one sitting but good to distribute throughout the day.

  129. Anne says:

I have been a major splenda addict and have been desperately battling the weight thing for 17yrs..even though I am a personal trainer. I stay in shape but Im not where i want to be and I can never figure out how I think im eating “healthy” and working out with sweat and tears every night and not getting the results I should be getting. Ive forever wanted to lose the last 10 pounds. After coming across yoru info and buying the program, Im finally giving up Splenda. WOW I cant believe how much I was using in a day. I also chew gum like crazy to curb my need to munch, and I didtn realize theres even splenda in that. Im currently on day 3 and im going crazy. So i bought Stevia in the Raw which surprisingly I dont mind the taste…i remember it as being nasty and licoricey tasting. But I did see it has Dextrous in it, but not Malodextrous….is this ok?

  130. Marion says:

    Hi Isabel,
I saw your video today and have a question.
We use Xylitol as sugar replacement.
My daughter has ADHD and this is the only sugar that doesn’t have a negative effent on her.
    Would you recommend something else?

    • TheDietSolution says:

Marion, Xylitol is actually one of the two sweeteners I recommend using as an alternative to sugar (stevia is the other). And if it doesn’t have a negative effect on your daughter, then that’s great!

  131. tokasa says:

very interesting!!! never knew that wholemeal bread does not help in burning fat.

  132. Ratie says:

I really enjoyed your diet plan program thanx for the advice

  133. TheDietSolution says:

Una, you can have wine, but it must be organic red wine. You should drink this in moderation though – I wouldn’t suggest having a glass with dinner every night.

  134. Laura says:

Organic wine occassionally you replied to Una, had no idea that there was organic wine is that also @ Trader Joes? What about coffee, beer(s) and hard alcohol? Are they absolute no no’s? Kudos to you for the delivery of the info!!! Very user friendly and matter-of-fact! We made the salad dressing last night and liked it alot and will start the fat burning food consumption today.

    • TheDietSolution says:

Laura, I don’t personally drink alcohol of any kind, so I could not tell you the best place to purchase organic wine. Beer is an absolute no-no on the DSP. I really recommend staying away from all alcohol. As I mentioned before, the occasional glass of red wine is okay – and if you’re going to drink hard alcohol, stick with vodka (certain brands are better than others) and avoid juice as a mixer. You can drink coffee, but stay away from the dairy products most people add.

  135. Dan says:

Isabel, can I assume that JIF peanut butter is out of the question?

    • TheDietSolution says:

Yes, Dan, you can assume that. Peanut butters like Jif, Skippy, Peter Pan, etc. have so many additives that make them unhealthy.

  136. Asma says:

    Hi isabel,
I am from india and sprouted grain bread is not easily available everywhere,i hav just got into the habit of eating whole wheat bread but as i see now it is not advisable..what are the other alternatives …i have to loose weight.

    • TheDietSolution says:

Asma, I really recommend not eating bread at all, so if you don’t have access to sprouted whole grain bread, I would say to just avoid bread altogether.

  137. alex diaz says:

    great work !

  138. Cassy says:

    Isabel,

I am thinking about purchasing your program. I can’t have dairy b/c it constipates me so I normally drink Soy milk. Why is Soy milk a no no on your plan and is almond milk better? I’m in Tampa, FL and we don’t have a trader joes all we have is whole foods and fresh market both outrageously priced. Please advise.

    Thanks!
    Cassy

    • TheDietSolution says:

Processed soy products can have extremely negative effects on your body. Almond milk is definitely better than soy milk. You need to be careful about the brand that you purchase though, so make sure you check the ingredients!

  139. Sherrie says:

    Isabel,
I watched your video about 3 weeks ago. I’m 45 yrs old and I’ve been over weight for about 15 yrs now. I simply hate it. Your video gave me hope. I’ve signed up for Jillian’s program several months ago, but never opened the link. I work full time but both of my children are grown so I do have time available to contribute to a new life style. My husband is also overweight. Southern cooking is my downfall. I made your salad dressing today and was surprised at how good it is. I am making myself a promise that I will lose the weight in 2011. I went shopping with my 26 yr old daughter yesterday and saw beautiful clothes that I want to wear by this time next year. I’m hoping to be able to do it this time. Thank you for all of the information.

  140. vickie says:

Just received your getting started course and I am looking forward to trying out the starter meals. I had already been using sprouted grain bread and whole foods versus processed. Looking forward to a new start and losing weight :)

  141. Angelle says:

    Isabel,
I am only on day 5 and have lost 6 pounds. I am mainly worried about the protein for breakfast. I do not eat egg and I can’t even force myself to if I wanted. What can I eat in the morning for protein besides egg?

  142. Erika says:

    Greetings Isabel;

I wish you lived near me, as I certainly could use some personal sessions.
As a vegetarian (no meat incl. chicken/fish), can you offer some simple substitutes for meat products in your receipe.
My biggest downfall is that I”m a lousy cook.
As a single person with 2 jobs and limited time each day, cooking always comes last on my 2do list.

  143. Amanda says:

This is good info. Thanks Isabel! I’m a big fitness advocate teaching 6-8 group fitness classes a week and usually always training for a marathon or triathlon. For the most part I eat fairly healthy, but have cravings for pizza, cereal, and sweets occassionally slipping from my good habits. Any suggestions on how to resist the urge to get that 10-15 lbs. off and keep them off?

  144. Shelia says:

I’m going to give this a try. I’ve been so disgusted with everything I’ve tried in the last year. It seems the more things I try that don’t work, the more weight I gain. It’s a vicious circle. I’m looking at gastric bypass or lap band if this doesn’t work. My goal is losing a minimum of 30 pounds.

  145. cheryl says:

    Hi Isabel,
I was wondering where i can find sprouted whole grain bread other than trader joe’s. All the whole grain bread i see in the grocery store contains whole wheat flour in the ingredients.

  146. Debby says:

What about beans {i.e. black beans, navy, pinto, hummus, etc.}?

  147. Tammy says:

Hi, Isabel, I enjoy eating a tunafish sandwich on a daily basis, but I will like to avoid using mayonnaise. Any suggestions?

  148. Sara says:

Do you have any tips on how to feel full when you’re vegetarian without eating bread and pasta etc.? I love all veg and beans etc. but it’s difficult to feel full for a long time. Are lentils good?

  149. sarah says:

    Hi,
I’m a vegetarian and find it difficult to get into a healthy diet plan as all of them are basically revolved around meat/fish/eggs- with salad or veg. I am very excited to start this new way of life with food but I just need some suggestions for meat substitutes to help me along the way. I am (well, I thought I was) quite healthy and enjoy a gourmet salad over greasy food any day, but I am a sucker for bread, pastas, potato’s and rice which are eventually finding their home on my thighs and belly!! Your help would be appreciated :)

  150. debbie says:

i am looking forward to getting your program, it is what i been looking for, want to do it but don’t know how, and it’s good to know you have support. thank u

  151. Audra says:

    Isabel,
I came across your website about 3 months ago and implemented the samples that you provided and was able to lose 15 lbs. I will be purchasing the DSP program and being diabetic my new year’s resolution is to get into the best health of my life and get off my medications. Thank you for all of the great information.

  152. Kristine says:

Is Greek yogurt (plain) an item I can eat?

  153. TheDietSolution says:

Angelle, if you don’t like eggs, there are so many other options for protein! My favorite thing to have for breakfast is leftovers from last night’s dinner!

  154. TheDietSolution says:

Tammy, you can make your own mayonnaise. If you’d like to avoid mayo altogether, though, try mixing in some salsa instead. It’s a bit of a different taste, but it’s delicious!

  155. Angela says:

Is The Diet Solution a good option for a person who is prediabetic?

  156. Julie Hermanowicz says:

wow!!! I had noted that you said salsa is great. i have some, and i know you don’t advise TORTILLA CHIPS!! Using it in tuna salad is a very interesting idea. What else can salsa be used in?

  157. Debbie says:

Hi Isobel, I am just getting my kitchen cleaned out of all the foods I won’t be eating anymore. The 1 thiing that I do do is drink a lot of water. Is it okay to iinclude the flavored kind such as Cascade or Pouring rain? Or is there a way to make my own. I can’t wait to get started on this program at the first of February(when I get my disbility check) I have already researched the health food stores and have decided to go with “Whole Foods Market”. I called and asked them all the questions that you have outlined of the permitted foods, and they came in 1st. Thank you for doing all this work. Now it’s up to me to get healthy without taking a toon of perscriptions.

  158. TheDietSolution says:

Angela, the great thing about the DSP is that it can work for everyone! My father is diabetic and has had great success with following my program.

  159. Great ebooks on dieting I am use the informations and now I am a affiliate too, Allen

  160. Leslie Nelson says:

    Hello Isabell

I want to know if it is necessary to have a protein with your snacks also or if you can just have a apple or a pear for a snack?
I am just getting started on your 14 days beginning meal plan for fat loss.
I did the first day and followed it all but I did not do the Post Workout meal today and just had a apple because I did not workout today.
Can I eliminate that meal if I am not able to work out right now?
    Thanks
    Leslie

  161. eva says:

I think that this is a great diet for some one like me who does not want to take any diet pills

  162. Cafena Ortiz says:

Hello Isabel: I started your program yesterday and already feel better.. I want to ask you about some foods that you don’t mention like, corn, beans, and plantains.. I love plantains.. I am a picky eater and like to eat my protein with more than a sweet potato. I love grains…
    Thank you

  163. Maria says:

I am a new customer. I wrote a long comment before so you can know my medical history and I don’t believe it went through. Well here it is again. I am 58, 5’4″ and weight 182. I was diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis, HTN, Hyperlipidemia and had an accident and had Cervical Spine surgery in 2008. I take meds chronically for these. Because of these meds I gained 40 pounds this last 2 1/2 years. That’s why today I ordered your program (I thought it was going to be mail to me but no address was asked) unless you get the info out of my Card? I tried diets before but did not work. I can’t stop my meds. I am hoping your diet helps me get back to the person I was. I used to play softball (17 years), tennis, Paddleball and was very active in the GYM but I can’t do that any more without exarcebating my pain. I work and it 100% sitting all day which does not help. I will take your program very serious, that’s my promise to you.

  164. Paul Nowlen says:

We use a WATER WISE distiller and since distilled water tends to eliminate electrolytes we add 20 drops per gallon of trace minerals. Also when using distilled water in apple cider vinegar we add 1 packet of STEVIA to hide the vinegar taste. Hope this will work for you.

  165. I have been through the 6 weeks program and lost my belly fat. I have not lost the 10 pounds that I wanted to lose. I’m eating the menus that you have for the mixed metabolism type body. What else do you suggest I do so I can lose weight?

  166. Shaunna says:

This program is fantastic and I’ve lost 6 lbs so far. I’m 1 lb from my goal and I feel great! I do have one issue that has been new in the last week though, it seems like I am hungry all the time now! I feel like I eat enough at meals and I snack 1-2 times a day too, but my stomach is growling and I feel “weak” a couple hours after my meals. It’s almost become annoying that I need to stop and eat every 2-3 hours now. I’m moderately active (20-30min work outs 3-5x wk) and I know I did my calorie calculations correctly… Any thoughts to why this could be?

  167. Chris says:

Help I am allergic to the nightshade family of vegetables (Bell peppers, tomatoes, white potato, etc) These are on the meal plan almost every day. Is there a substitute for them on the plan. I know that .5 of an organic pink grpefruit has many of the same elements as they do. Would that work?

    Chris

  168. Aleksandra says:

@sarah: I completely agree with you on that one!

  169. Linda Lloyd says:

I think your plan is great i’m going to order your books for sure :) i have been looking for help for along time.

    Thank you so much
    Linda Lloyd

  170. Donna says:

Kudos, Isabelle for presenting and establishing healthy eating as a lifestyle and not as a punishing diet….Returning to a philosophy of “eating foods our grandmothers would recognize” (love that statement of yours) and instead choosing whole foods over the plethora of processed and chemical products out there…seems to be common sense and what we NEED to get back to….Consider me a fan and comfortably seated on the DS bandwagon!
With regards to your views on “White Foods”….would you consider whole-grain rice cakes as falling into this category of foods to avoid? Are they allowed in your program…or would you consider them overly-processed or having too many glucids?

  171. ila says:

I truly believe you have a good program here. I know it is important to avoid sugar and processed foods. But many and most of your meals include meat and it is important for me to maintain a vegetarian diet. What can I substitute for protein in your recipes? I used to use fake meat products but am assuming they are over-processed. Do you have an article or would you consider writing one directed toward vegetarians?

  172. Mauro Cacia says:

    Well,
the diet forgot to tell: eat fruit and fresh salad before anything else and possible wait 20 minutes before eating anyhing different.
OK oatmel with almonds and organic 100% cocoa powder, but eat all fruits before it.
For example for brakfast eat in order: a green apple, greapfruit, tomato, wait 20 min, then eggs salmon and all the rest.

  173. mandy says:

I am so greatfull for you all this makes sence. Can I have honey as a substitute for stevia and if so is there a limit amount per day ?
    thanks

  174. Anonimous says:

Hi, I’m quite reluctant as to purchasing The Diet Solution Programme. Im 18 years old weighing in at 295 pounds. It sounds to good to be true! As a student I don’t have alot of cash and don’t want to get my hopes up incase this program disappoints me.

I’m looking for a sincere, working diet program that will help me change my life. I’m really tiried of all these money making scams. I want real help by someone who wants to truelly help.

Can all those who truelly believe in this product please advise me. It would be great if you could to Isabel.

    Thank You

Just want to let everyone know there is a company called WALDEN FARMS. their products have NO SUGAR, NO CALORIES NO CARBS. NO NOTHING. they are FREE FOOD on any diet. they have everything. Dressing, Mayo, peanut butter, chocolate dip, and syrup, carmel dips and syrup. your health stores have them, or you can go to WaldenFarms.com and see where your closest store is. good Luck

  176. Rachael James says:

    Dear anonimous from the Uk

I am sure that this way of eating does work, I am not going to call it a diet because it is just a healthy style of eating, with isabels tips on what certain food label to avoid and what they mean, and its not about starving yourself its all about planning ahead and eating healthier plus exercising regularly if you want to, best of luck
    From Rachael England

  177. chynna says:

    hi,
i swear it feels like ive tried every diet plan in the book but ive only just started this program and it already feels different, but i was just wondering what type of bacon is ok because in the video you said bacon was good but turkey bacon or regular bacon?

  178. Amanda says:

I agree with the point that you should have protein at every meal. I try to keep all my meals and snacks balanced within food pyramid guidelines as well as getting all the vitamins and minerals I need. I’ve found that eating this way has really made it easy to lose weight and keep it off. It’s not a diet, but a way of life and a change of habits.

  179. Geneva Tilley says:

I am interested in starting this program. I have been on Jenny Craig and after reading this, I am aware of eating a lot of bad foods. Most of my daily food intake are processed foods.
    Thank you.

  181. Candi says:

Is milk ok?where do you buy spelt bread or the kind you use?

  182. Lyanne says:

is eating regular cottage cheese better than low fat cottage cheese?

  183. zanib says:

I am having problems with the ingredients because I live in such a country which doesn’t have sprouted grain toast, chick peas and rice pasta.

  184. Lisa says:

This is one of the best diets that are around, especially considering that some simply do not work. it feels great to be in a position to write a positive review not based on making a dollar but because of the fact that it really works. Thanks

  185. Beverly says:

I am looking forward to making a positive change in my life. I had already noticed that an increase in refined sugar caused an increase in pain for me. I believe this program will help me make the changes my body needs to stay healthy & keep up with my kids.

  186. Judi Tragle says:

I do not like cheese of any kind, but I do like yogurt, can I substitute the yogurt for cheese?

    • TheDietSolution says:

Judi, Greek yogurt or plain whole-fat yogurt are the way to go. You do not need to have cheese in your diet – in fact, it is counted as a fat on this program.

  187. Maria says:

Do you or anyone have a recipe for sprouted grain bread? What is in it apart from sprouted grain?
I sprout my own grains, so fresh grains are no problem. Are organic mung beans (soya)a no no, by the way?
Also I find it difficult to make spelt bread. Mine looks like a brick ;) )

  188. cindy says:

my husband makes a spelt bread that is out of this world! His bakery is located in western Mass.. Warwick to be exact. PEOPLES BAKERY.
He makes cinnamon raison, honey oat common spelt, and a 4 seed . All spelt almost all organic.
If anyone is interested he does sell retail as well as wholesale. His e-mail is yacobaker@gmail.com.

  189. Carol says:

I am gluten free and have to watch my sugar…can your plan help me?

  190. Michelle says:

I just received the info in my email. I noticed, in your video, that processed soy products are not recommended. Does this include soy protein powder? I enjoy smoothies with soy milk, protein powder, and fruit. Could I use coconut milk and soy protein powder, or would it be better to just have coconut milk and fruit and eat another source of protein? I also wanted to know about evaporated cane juice and agave nectar, are these acceptable replacements for sugar?

  191. steffy says:

    Hi Isabel,

I know soy is not allowed on the DSP and I’m not a fan of soy however, what about edamame (soybeans)? Are they just as bad too? Thank you

  192. Jodie says:

I think this program is perfect for females. It points them in the right direction with information on what foods to eat which is the main name of the game in losing weight and getting in shape. I have been a personal trainer for over 8 yrs. and i struggle to get females to understand that food is 90% of the key to your success. I guess they don’t want to listen to a Male trainer..:) I have gotten through to a few though. But to make my life easier i may just point them in your direction!
    Thanks!

  193. moumita says:

i am Indian..hydrogenated oil is used daily in cooking.is that ok? am I not to eat wheat flour even?

  194. Melissa says:

Do you think its ok to wake up first thing and do interval workout THEN enjoy a great breakfast?

    • TheDietSolution says:

Sure, Melissa! Working out before eating is perfectly fine – some people don’t like to work out on an empty stomach, but others prefer it.

  195. Claire says:

hi, im asian and I put barley or cassiatoralinne tea bags in the water. Then 1 day later I drink the water. Is that okay? I drink water like that everyday so im wondering if that’s going to affect anything.

  196. Jean says:

I am allergic to milk. I have relied on soy milk for the past few years but you say to avoid it. Do you have any suggestions for replacing soy milk?

    • TheDietSolution says:

Jean, try coconut milk.. it’s delicious! Almond milk and rice milk are also good alternatives.

  197. Sara says:

how often, would u say, should one work out using the this meal plan or the DSP ?

  198. Lourdes says:

Hello, you don’t recomend soy milk or products. I’m one of those who drink soy milk, heard helps w/hormonal problems.

You also mention to stay away from color white, so that means no milk @ all?

  202. Kristy says:

Hi! I recently stumbled onto your info on the web. I have been overweight most my life and I am 30yrs old! I have tried everything under the sun to get healthy! Your tip of “only eat foods that have one ingredient” has been a real eye opener for me! No one has ever said that and I could have used this info a long time ago! So, THANKS!!

My question: There are alot of foods that I don’t like…fish and nuts and cottage cheese are some of these foods. I don’t know what to eat instead, that would still be healthy. Please help me! I am desperate!!
    Kristy

    • TheDietSolution says:

Kristy, I would recommend purchasing the program – fish, nuts, and cottage cheese are just a few of the healthy options you have. There are so many others. The program will help you understand what foods you should avoid, and which are so beneficial to your health!

  203. Gail says:

Many thanks for Healthy Meal Plans- can’t wait to get started.

  204. Angie says:

What do you drink with meals and throughout the day?

  205. claire says:

I have been making healthy smoothies for mid morning.
    I use 1/2 frozen banana
    couple blueberriesor frozen grapes
    1 cup almond milk
1 teaspoon of greens which has many antioxidents
Is the almond milk ok or should I use coconut milk?

    • TheDietSolution says:

Claire, almond milk is perfectly fine. Coconut milk is healthier though (and wouldn’t count as anything).

  206. Maria says:

What is an alternative for cottage cheese? I can not eat dairy.

  207. Prince says:

Morning, I finished my 7-day diet plan last nite and this morning I had half grapefruit and bottle of water(l.5l) and full hake fish

my lunch is brown rice, brocolli and pumpkin(roasted), already I lost 9kg and feeling like a young boy at 43yrs. I also started some exercises last nite on the treadmill and some weight lisfts. Please advice if on the right track

    Yours Rinzo Mash

    • TheDietSolution says:

Rinzo, that sounds fine. Just make sure you’re adhering to your allowable servings and you should be fine.

  208. Cathy says:

Thankyou for the diet plan meals, the only problem is asian way of eating is so different from westerners, due to gall bladder removal i happen to see your website, i also have fatty liver , i need help to eat right, for the moment i cannot take any oily or dairy food. What should i do?

    • TheDietSolution says:

Cathy, I don’t really recommend dairy anyway because many people have an intolerance. And oily food can easily be avoided.

  209. Hinano Ioane says:

    Aloha,
I have diabetes and it is high and my doctor is think of putting me on insulin, my glucose is 216 from 331 which was 2 weeks ago. Also my Triglycetides is 320 now and normal is 150, and the docotr said I need to lose weight and watch my fatty foods. Is your solution is good for diabetics too?

    • TheDietSolution says:

Hinano, this program works really well for people with diabetes! My dad has diabetes, and he’s done so well eating this way! You should check out our new community site, Beyond Diet (www.beyonddiet.com) – you can learn from other members who have diabetes.

  210. vhaves velasco says:

tnx for this diet plan it a big hepl for me to loss my weight….

  211. Deborah says:

    Dear Isabel,

You say that soy milk and soy products should be avoided. Does this include tofu? I am lactose intolerant and I have used almond milk for baking, poured over cereal, etc. Is this also off limits as it needs to be processed as well?

    • TheDietSolution says:

Deborah, tofu is included in the list of soy products to be avoided. Almond milk is perfectly fine though! Just keep an eye on those ingredients – many brands of almond milk will have a lot of added ingredients that you should avoid.

  212. TheDietSolution says:

Soy milk should absolutely be avoided, but that doesn’t mean all milk needs to be. Almond and coconut milk are great choices, and raw (or at least certified organic) milk is also a good way to go.

  213. vivian says:

Hi guys. Thinking about this program. I have 5 children and I’m on a tight budget. I cook all our dinners and would like to know if the menu is kid friendly. Can’t monetarily afford to make 6 different meals per day, 3 for my fam and 3 for me! I am 30 years young and want to be a great role model for my children as far as healthy weight and heart, as well as keeping up with looking good. Please send some encouraging thots and ideas!

  222. Deb says:

Is stevia ok? I use it in my coffee

  223. Why should soy products be avoided? ( such as tofu, soy milk etc)I am lactose intolerant and was told by my Doctors that almond milk and coconut milks are out as they contain too much carbs and in fact they do send my blood sugar soaring.

  226. ruchi says:

    Hi Isabel,

I am a vegeterian. Can you please provide me the vegeterian alternative to the above diet plan..

Is brown rice safe to eat??

    • TheDietSolution says:

Ruchi, the manual outlines how vegetarians can adjust the program to their needs. It is part of the FAQ chapter.

  227. Sowmya says:

I am interested to know what kind of vegeterian food would you suggest

    • TheDietSolution says:

Swomya, no specific “vegetarian food” – just foods that you can eat for your protein intake that isn’t meat.

  228. TheDietSolution says:

Grace, the explanation you are looking for regarding consumption of soy can be found in the manual.

  229. TheDietSolution says:

Wally, can you have coconut milk? Or almond milk? And Deb, stevia is a great choice.

  230. sarah says:

I’m in the uk where would i find rice, spelt , or sprouted grain bread?

  231. Carol Eaton says:

    Hi Isabella,
I am just starting the 7 day plan and would

  232. Roz says:

I just happen to come across your site, and after listening to your video, it all makes sense. I’ve been struggling to loose 10lbs not along anything more than that and have tried so many things. As stated before this makes sense and I know this is the solution for me,with determination and commitment I can do it! Thank you,

  233. Jill says:

I am very happy to have stumbled onto your website. Hopefully, I will get to understand every thing shortly.
I do not know just exactly what your programs provide. I think I have signed up for a “free introductory beginner program” which I am not certain what all this includes as far as “books etc”?
Also, I have ordered your $47 program and am wandering what to expect. If you could help my understanding of what I should be expecting of your services…..I am very anxious to get going and want to make the most of your program.
    Jill

    • TheDietSolution says:

Jill, please contact our Customer Service team at 1-800-815-1941. Someone will be happy to help you figure out exactly what you purchased.

  234. Eva says:

I have read many health and weight loss books and the main thing that concerns me is the mixing of fruits with other foods. From what I have learned it has been proven that fruit should be eaten alone. Eating fruit with other foods takes away it’s nutritional value and benefits. Also mixing carbs with meat isn’t the greatest either. Carbs such as breads, pastas etc. This is the worst thing you can do for weight loss. Maybe you can clarify these things. Thank you!

  235. Jane says:

this recipes are very easy to follow. Snacks very good I did not know what to snack on cottage cheese and pineapple very nice.

  236. Robyn says:

I am concerned about sugar substitutes. If I stick to the plan in most ways (I cannot stand sugar in coffee) would Equal derail the program?

    • TheDietSolution says:

Robyn, I wouldn’t say it would derail it, but you should really think about what is in Equal… not the best stuff to be putting in your body.

  237. ana says:

i absolutley love your program isabel.its exactley what i was looking for,as a long term diet wich work.Thank you!

  238. anamaria says:

    love you progra.thank you Isabel!

  239. Luke says:

    Hi Isabel,

I stumbled across this site and looks like my cup of tea, nothing rushed im a patient man, once this makes me feel good in short time, ill be happy with looking good later time
    I Dl’ed the 7 week free trail
cant wait to start it 3 small Q’s if you dont mind please

1.is there anyway of getting the program as an Ebook

2, does reasonably intense work outs compliment and boast this Program

    3. and you say Organic Eggs, but would it do significant damage to the program by the just eating free ranged

Thank you, ill get this program non the less by the end of the week for sure :)

    • TheDietSolution says:

      Luke,
      1. The program actually IS an e-book that you can download.
      2. Working out in any capacity will compliment this program!
      3. Free range eggs are better than most, but you still want to try to make sure they only have access to healthy feed.

  240. Susan says:

This makes sense; years ago (when I weighed a lovely 127 lbs at age38/5’7″) I used to go across the street from where I worked in Mpls and have 2 eggs, 2 bacon and coffee every morning and never gained an ounce (and I didn’t get hungry like I do now). So one of the nice things I plan to do is have my bacon/eggs for breakfast (or lunch/dinner) more often. Just signed on to the program at 164 lbs…and I WILL start losing some of this weight. I also have elevated liver functions which just happened last year (gained 20 lbs over the past two years). It will be interesting to see if my January numbers go down after 6 weeks eating right. Will keep you posted.

  241. bhawana says:

i as indian what u will suggest for me

  242. hasrat says:

hiii… i lyk ur tips, bt i m a vegetarian and i do not eat eggs, chicken or fish.. :( can u please help me with it??????

    • TheDietSolution says:

Hasrat, beans are a great source of protein when meat is not an option. You can read more about being a healthy vegetarian by reading the chapter about vegetarians in the manual.

      • chris says:

Just going through the messages, you can see there are many of us who have questions, being we are vegan or Vegetarian.
The menu above for dinner has no choice for vegetarian’s…my thought’s are,if we get the programme, will there be enough choice’s for us?I use Gabonza, split peas and lentils,i make my own bread with spelt flour, not as good as the store, but a lot cheaper.

  243. Elaine says:

The eating plan sounds very sensible. AlthoughI would have fruit befor a meal not after as it interferes with my digestion. What is almond butter? Would you mean almond milk with oats. would that be a safe processed product? What other bread would be a good one as I havent found that sprouted grainbread. I actually have burgen soya &linseed at the moment or the one with pumpkin seed or wholemeal. Any info would be appreciated. thankyou
    Elaine

  244. sofia says:

    hi isabel:)
i can’t believe people are so misguided on healthy foods….and they have made me a bit sceptic, too, although i follow the nutritional rules of your website.i eat an organic egg every morning(really, one of the best eggs!) but my family keeps telling me that it’s wrong and that i should eat less…i don’t listen to them, but i would like you to ensure me that my option is healthy:)
    thank you in advance

  245. Arlene says:

    Hi Isabel
I am doing great on your programme which I purchased two weeks ago….lost 2 kilos already(bit slow and did not loose 10 lbs in 4 days though) I wonder and worry whether its because I dont do any weights but walk fast 30 minutes and 15 mts. of stretching exercises. Can’t handle weights as I am afraid of injury. Kindly advise what I should do as exercise w=fit to get a flat stomach? I already lost few inches all round and waist and feel so fit, light and great following your programme.I want to loose at least another 10 lbs soon. Thank you very much! Arlene

  246. Sam says:
