Please help, Isabel–the sprouted grain bread is great but I can’t eat it any longer due to discovering I’m gluten sensitive. Crusty bread was my very favorite thing. Rice pasta isok. You’d think giving up these things, I’d be losing weight, right–sadly no. You advise staying away from dairy so I feel my food world is getting smaller and smaller and it’s frustrating me. I’ve tried many gluten free products and they are downright nasty lol. Any suggestions? Would a piece of cheese really be a no no?
Hey Wendy,
I really disagree with Isabel on the dairy issue, feeling it’s WAY more beneficial to stay on dairy products if you’re not lactose intolerant. They’re loaded with protein and good fat, and taste delicious, leaving you more satisfied. Sure, it’d be great if we all had access to unprocessed milk, but that isn’t an option for most. Organic milk from grass-fed cows is now readily available at the grocery if you look for it and ask about it!
Try Udi’s brand gluten free breads, pizze crust and muffins. This brand is much better than any other gluten free baked goods that I have found.
i really need help on how to control my appeptite. im now a full time mom with my one baby girl. before i resigned from work and decided to become a full time mom, i thought that maybe that would be the time that i’ll lose weight since all the chores and baby sitting and everything will all be mine. yes indeed, i do everything since we didn’t hire a helper or nanny. but sad to say, apparently my expectations were not realized. because the more i work, the more i get tired, the more i also eat. and im a rice eater. i can’t stand a day not eating rice in a meal. can you suggest something that i should do or need to change? i know there are lots. but its still different if i will hear from you. i would really appreciate it much. thanks and God bless!
The Diet Solution seems not to be applicable to us in Africa and Nigeria in particular. What is the way forward please?
Mary, you can definitely follow the DSP in Africa – as long as you have access to fresh fruits and vegetables, and preferably grass-fed meats, you should be fine! Visit our new community website, Beyond Diet, to connect with other DSP members living in Africa!
Genia, you can still have your rice – just make it a kind other than white rice. Brown rice is the one most people end up going for, but there are so many other types of rice out there (look for my article on grains.. I go into detail about the different types of rice you can eat). And there’s nothing wrong with eating.. just make sure the things you are putting into your mouth are healthy. Have some fresh veggies cut up so you can snack on them. Raw nuts are my favorite snack – I always have them ready for when I get hungry.
Hi,
I live in the UK – we don’t seem to have almond butter here – can you advise what this is? – Thanks!
I am 77 years old and visit the gym 3 times a week. I look young for my age but have a muffin top and belly fat. Surprisingly, my legs still look pretty good and are not fat or lumpy. I do not have cellulite but the skin on my face and legs is loose. I need to lose at least 25 pounds. My Doctor has put me on a 1400 calories per day and after 3 weeks have not lost a pound. Love my doctor but hte diet was downloaded from the internet. I need a diet specifically for my ody type, etc. Would nitric oxide be helpul?
What type of diet and execise do you suggest?
Betty, you should really think about purchasing this program. It focuses on eating healthy foods and is a way of eating that you can easily maintain for the rest of your life. As for exercise.. high intensity interval training is the way to go.
Im 17 turning 18 next year..i weigh 220. is this weight program safe for me?
