My dressing is about the same, however I ad balsamic vinegar with the apple cider vinegar, home made yogurt and some Italian seasoning. I sometimes put in mustard but not always.
    Mine is:
    A. C. vinegar, crushed garlic, It. seas., Bal. vinegar, (no salt), plain fat free yogurt, a little water, olive oil. Yummy and all healthy.

It appears that Isabel is sharing information about eating a raw food diet – if you google ‘raw food recipes’ you’ll find lots of recipes that will help with weight loss and also help you to lead a healthy vibrant energetic life free from digestive problems and other ailments. All you need to start eating a raw food diet is a food processor, a good blender and juicer and a good set of knives- a raw food diet takes a commitment to working with whole foods- slicing, dicing, peeling. zesting, pureeing but beyond the manual labour-you feel better ,sleep better and have more energy.

  7. Jul 26 2010

Jody, that does sound like a delicious salad dressing! The only thing I would suggest is not using fat-free yogurt.

    Mmmm!
For people who want a creamy dressing for salad, veggies, or whatever, this is my best:

    GIORGIO’S ORIGINAL PESTO DRESSING
    Put in blender:
    1 organic egg
    1/3 cup apple cider vinegar
    1/3 cup water
1/3 cup fresh or 1/4 cup dried sweet basil leaves
    1/3 cup grated parmesan cheese
2 large peeled cloves of garlic
    1 tsp salt
    1/3 cup Olive oil
    More Olive oil

Put all measured ingredients in blender and turn on low. Trickle in additional olive oil until it starts to thicken (it may take
another cup or more). Taste, and add extra salt, garlic, parmesan, basil to taste. Turn
blender on medium speed and continue to add oil until thick. That’s it. Good
    luck.

I tired your dressing and was very surprised how good it was , I marinated boneless chicken and grill it with the dressing turly wonderful.

  11. Jul 28 2010

    Hi Isabel,
Dressing sounds yummy! Another good use for apple cider vinegar is to lower cholesterol. 2 table spoons in a glass of water everyday.

The dressing sounds amazing but i’m definitely not a mustered person.

But i do have my own salad dressing recipe for those who are like me
I used ‘wine vinegar’ i don’t know if its any good for you, Isabel can you tell me? Since I can’t get apple cider vinegar where i live.

The salad dressing recipe, I make it fresh every time we have dinner. Get a small bowl, half vinegar half olive oil, I don’t do measurements too, then add salt and pepper as much as you want and give it a good steer.

Make as much as you want to put in your salad. It’s very simple and easy to make and will be a big hit with just green salad tomatoes an egg or more and sometimes cheese.

I have been making this dressing for years. Instead of powdered garlic I use cloves of fresh garlic then I put everthing in the blender. This way it becomes very creamy and then store. The creamy consistency can be maintained afterwards by shaking the dressing up when you want to use it. Easy recipe and I recommend it.

Thanx for sharing your recipe with us. I also make my own salad dressing: Mix, 1 minced garlic clove, 2 oz olive oil, 1oz of your favorite vinegar (balsamic, apple cider or white) and salt and pepper to taste. If you don’t like garlic pieces you can drain the dressing. Variations can be made adding 1 or more of your favorite herbs or spices: basil, parsley, chives, dill, etc.

Dee, I was just given a list of the countries we ship to yesterday and I distinctly remember Qatar being on the list. I would try ordering again. Also, the program is a downloadable program, so you shouldn’t need to have anything shipped to you.

Hi. I live at the Jersey Shore outside of Ocean City. I need to find a good trustworthy organic food market. I’m willing to travel–does anyone have any suggestions? Bontera is up the street from me and it’s extremely pricey.

    Thanks.

Just a suggestion – I mix apple cider vinegar, balsamic and lemon juice. Lemon juice is not only healthy, it gives refreshing and lite taste to your dressing.

Also, I make my garlic oil for salad dressing and cooking (cut thinly garlic into cold pressed olive oil and leave for couple of hours. This could be kept for couple of days.) Garlic oil could be used in your dressing, cooking or just seasoning over baked or cooked fish/meat/vegetables.

Does this salad dressing need to be refrigerated? Olive oil gets solid when its cold.

Whole Foods has a delicious salad called Cabbage Crunch which uses a slight variation of your cider vinegar dressing and it is delicious!

    Chopped green cabbage
    Chopped Scallions
    Toasted or raw almond slivers
Toasted or raw black sesame seeds (black for a pop of color!)

Dressing is apple cider vinegar, olive or other healthy oil, salt, pepper and a touch of honey. I am sure it would be delicious with Isabel’s dressing as well.

I usually leave the components in my fridge and then put together the salad when I want something extra crunchy.

Laurie, that salad sounds delicious! Try to stay away from the toasted seeds and nuts, but the rest is great!

Do you have any other recipies that might be able to incorporate your dressing. I’ve been told alot about apple cider vinegar and am wanting to give your program a try. Thanks.
