Inside Isabel’s Healthy Kitchen
November 20, 2009
Here is a guided tour through exactly what I keep in my kitchen. (Brace yourself. It’s not all good).
Take a look at the foods I keep stocked in my refrigerator, freezer, pantry and cabinets and how I maintain a lean and healthy body with these foods.
I’ve broken the videos down for easier viewing, but make sure to watch all 6 videos. And don’t forget to comment below and let me know what you would like to see next!

Wow!All the nutritional foods and necessary things are all in your house.
good stuff! i’ll highly recommend you get one of those nu-wave ovens that you see on tv. i’ve had one since may 2008 & i can take a frozen chicken breast & its completely cooked in 20 mins. then you won’t have to worry about defrosting!
Really good idea to give your readers a sneak peak into your kitchen
.
Did you use your new flip?…you can join these individual videos with the Flip software and join them all into one video really easily. Just a thought because I know you said you just got the Flip
. If you have questions on how easy it is to do, I’d be happy to help.

Dear Isabel,
Thank you for opening your kitchen to us. It was a very inspiring tour. However, for me it was also a very depressing tour in that easily 99% of the products that you have are simply not available to me. I live in a country where there is no access to the range of organic products that you enjoy, no Whole Foods, not Trader Joe’s, no grass-fed beef, no coconut oil, no ezekiel bread, no stevia, no gluten-free products. Help! Obviously what you personally buy and eat is what you consider best; but could you give us some second-best options please?
Thank you for all you do for us – and for giving us a glimpse of Christian.
Jana
I loved the videoes! I wish we could afford all organic food, but the health food store in my area is so over priced, but I have noticed the local supermarkets are starting to carry organic things for a better cost. Thanks for taking the time for these videoes, I know how hard it can be with a baby, my daughter Mariah just turned a year old this past Wednesday! Oh yeah, my husband is also addicted to Dr.Pepper and I am trying to make him at least quit drinking it at home.
I think your videos are great and I love that you dont try to hide anything. I love your honest and that your a real person!
Great video. Couple of questions:
1)shouldn\\\’t the raw nuts be kept in the fridge?
2)What would you have made for each meal with what you have there?
3)What about beans and lentils?
Hi Isabel, I enjoyed the tour of your kitchen. You have some “powdered” coconut milk…where do you get it from? On another note…tell your husband to STOP drinking his cancer drinks (Diet Dr. Pepper). My mom is the same way…as much as I tell her about the dangers, she LOVES her diet drinks. Lord help them all! Thanks for the tour!
Toodles!
Thanks for the peek in your ‘fridge and cupboards – how fun! Favorites that I saw: almond butter & coconut bliss. I have tons of frozen fruit in my freezer because I discovered that I can just whip it in the vita-mix to make “ice cream” for my two year old. Our favorite is ‘banana soft serve’ – four frozen bananas, a pinch of vanilla extrace, and 1/4 cup water. Whip it up and it comes out just like soft serve ice cream, except it’s just bananas! The first time I gave it to her I gave her a generouse two-year-old-sized portion and she couldn’t believe her luck (usually when I give her a taste of coconut bliss, it’s about a tablespoon).
Would love to see your fridge once you stocked up again, I’m sure it will look pretty with all the fruits and veggies!
I’m kinda surprised that you actually have ketchup….I know my mom still keeps that kind of stuff (because I have a hard time convincing my mom about alternative healthier options, and I still can’t get the right kind of eggs, butter, chesse, and bread, in addition to unusual health foods). I stay away from ketchup completely due to its containment of corn syrup, and I stick with mostly fried onion bits or grinded shrimp paste for flavor. Recently, I also got kinda mad when I found out my mom dipped my favorite atlantic salmon fillet in barbecue sauce (saved from McDonald’s….grrrrr!!!). I’m 19 years old, but I still don’t drive a car (I know…pretty embarrassing). Anyways, what’s with the ketchup?
Hi and thanks for that very informative and interesting video. I always love to get your newsletters but this is even better. You are always so funny and down to earth. You also seem to have the best information of anyone else I’ve read. Keep up the great work.
P.S. What a CUTE baby!!!!
Maybe you should look at the ingredients in the dog cookies, too.
I would like to hear your thoughts on the use of microwave ovens.
Thanks
Family members are the worst! Anyways, great video but I was wondering if you had ever read the book The Warrior Diet and what your opinion on Fasting or IF (intermittent fasting)was? Thanks!
Thanks for taking the time to show this. I was very impressed by how few things you were able to keep in your refridgerator and cabinets. Mine seem jam packed, but with lots of stuff that I haven’t used in a while. It makes me realize I should just throw those things out, like 5 kinds of salad dressings, marinates, jellies, etc. These are mostly things we used to eat but don’t any longer. My biggest challenge is how to improve the diets of my 5 and 7 year old children. They just love sandwiches, chips, cookies and all that. I’m having them eat more veggies and fruit, but any other ideas would be great. Your little guy is so cute! Congrats on being a new mom – there’s nothing better!
Thanks again,
Chrissie Bingaman
Hey Stephanie!
1)I usually don’t keep my nuts in the fridge but you may be right. They make stay more fresh that way.
2)I ended up making salmon salad with the canned salmon over lots of raw veggies. My husband ate a combo of the leftovers. We also debated doing veggie omelets but we didn’t.
3)What about beans and lentils? I don’t really love beans that much and neither does my husband. I will include them in salads and soups sometimes. They are a great food to include into your meal plans…we’re just not that big on them.
Hi Dora,
I got the powdered coconut milk from Wilderness Family Naturals, online.
I will definitely do an entire blog posts on microwave ovens.
Nice kitchen- need more variety in fresh veggies and fruit + more options for meal ideas (variety) Maybe a nice jar of easy-to-do broccoli seed sprouts to add to salads.
Hi,
I saw the videos and they weren’t that bad, as for the “Dr Pepper”, well everyone is entitled to a treat as long as they don’t get carried away with it.
I was surprised at some of the things you had, lots of stuff in jars. I also recognized some of those items and know for a fact their chocked full of sugar. Did you know you can actually get sugar free ketchup, that’s sweetened with agave instead? You should film another series, when your fridge is fully stocked with more whole foods, which I thought was missing…. coming from you. Anyways, I thought that was interesting and pretty brave to let everyone see your home like that. Keep up the fight and thanks for all your help.
Joe
Hi; I always enjoy your \\\’messages\\\’ and thought you and other readers might like to know what I found out about 2 years ago. My daughter-in-law fell on the ice while walking their dog, and broke her right, lower leg. The doctor at the emergency room told her that they would have to put a pin in the \\\’hollow\\\’ bone!!! It seems that the PEPSI that she had been drinking for years all day like we drink WATER, had I guess, \\\’dissolved\\\’ the insides of the bone,do we call that marrow?, and the pin would reinforce the leg bone again. Of course telling that to people doesn\\\’t help them to NOT DRINK PEPSI any more. It is the same ol\\\’ \\"it won\\\’t happen to ME\\". We all live and learn the hard way sometimes.
Isobel
Thank you so much for sharing – I’m so glad that it isn’t just my kitchen cupboards that can be scary when opened. It was so real to see the ‘bad’ stuff in there too – yes, this is a hint to your husband to drop the soda.
I would love to see your utensils etc, and to learn about your non-use of the microwave.
All the best
Hi Isabel! Awesome blog, very healthy! I am planning to come to Tampa, Florida this January so I might get to meet you!!!!!!
You said you use bread crumbs to put in your meat balls, have you ever tried grounding up oatmeal and using it instead? I do that, and wheat germ works too if you like that stuff…
Love the blog! And by the way your baby’s a cutie!
Keep the videos coming they are great!
Amanda
Isabel I know your going to do a blog about microwaves but I am curious, what do you use to re-heat left overs?
OK, I am quite surprised. I probably eat overly intact foods. I would not expect some products to be in your fridge (i.e.prepared salsa).Good to know that it is fine for you.
Hi Isabel,
Thanks for the tour of your refrigerator & Cupboard, it was very interesting.I must say thanks to all the info you have shared with us. I used those recipes you have given in order to maintain my weight and it works.I would like to get some more recipes with peas and beans. Baby Cristian is really cute!! and tell your husband that thing he drinks is really not good. It will do more harm than good.
Great foods but many not avaiable here in Malaysia (eizikel, organic beef, organic butter) . To ship i from USA, the cost is ridiculous. Organic coconut milk ice cream – never exist here. Even it exist, the cost would be 10x ordinary ice cream, then evantually, it would go off from the market.
The only merit here is we can have lots of fresh coconut milk, produced straight from raw cocounut. It’s everywhere here.
Hi Isabel,
Thanks for sharing. I share the same opinion as Jana – I’m in this side of the world that doesn’t have access to most of the stuff you mentioned, heck even the online stores don’t want to serve us here (btw, I’m in Malaysia). Even if they are – it’s so expensive (imported).
So what do I do? I use your info as ideas/suggestions, then I tend to substitute those with some equivalent local foods, or food that is abundant available at this part of the world. For example – brazil/pecan/walnut nuts are so expensive here, however chickpeas/cashews/peanuts are so cheap. Almond butter?? ezikeil bread? it’s so exorbitantly priced here.. I make my own butter.. from raw peanuts or almonds, or even tahini, and I love legumes… if i feel like having some bread – I bake my own 100% wholegrains. Berries – strawberry, blueberries, etc are sooo expensive here.. but goji berries is cheap. Fruits – I tend to focus on local ones – instead of going with the imported (expensive!.. once a while i do buy them) grapefruit /kiwis/ promegranates/peaches /berries etc – I go a lot with guava, papaya, pineapple, bananas, persimmons, mangos, DURIANS, etc etc. Veggies like beetroot, avocados, broccoli are expensive(again imported, i take them occasionally), and i go lot with local ones like cauliflowers, kale, cabbage, etc
I’ve started changing my lifestyle since abt 2 years ago, i’ve lost about 60kg.. BMI of 44+ to 23 now.
hope that helps.
Sher.
Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
Hi Isabel~ What would be a good alternative drink to have around the house for my husband who is diabetic? I have pretty much weaned him from diet soda, but crystal light has taken it’s place. Is that just as bad? Water just isn’t enough for him. Thanks. P.S. I love your tips and advice. The videos are great too! I have a daughter named Isabel:)
I loved your videos! Thanks! You are an inspiration! Keep up the wonderful work!
It was good to see the Nutiva coconut butter. I have bought two different brands but keep burning the butter when I try to use it for cooking. I will try your brand next. Thanks for that tip of actually seeing with my own eyes what works.
Hi Isabel,
Thanks for the tour. Can\’t wait for the supermarket trip!…let me guess how many videos\’ you\’ll need.
Would love for you to explain digestive enzymes in detail, vs. systemic enzymes. I\’ve been spending mega dollars on these with questionable results.
Thanks again.
Isabel, THANK YOU SO MUCH for showing me this video. I have always wondered how it would be like in a an actual health experts home! You are so down to earth and I’m glad because I’d thought MY fridge wouldn’t even compare to yours! Over the years I’ve been learning more and more about nutrition to the point of being ADDICTED TO LEARNING! And like all addicts, it becomes a problem. But that’s for another time
I’ve read a recent article where egg cartons that says “FREE RANGE” might not be free range after all but I’m still unsure of its source. I feel relieved that your an egg lover as I am and I would eat eggs everyday if i could! Especially being cooked with coconut oil with some flax seeds on top.
I totally agree about your husband. He should fix it asap. I haven’t drunk soda in over two years (I’m 16 so that was a big step) because of HFCS and aspartame which contains OVER 90 SIDE EFFECTS and half of them cancerous.
Thank You Isabel
P.S. I mentioned your name when I wrote on Joel’s comment about how sleeping helps burn fat for his holiday black book giveaway. Take a look if you want but I suggest doing Ctrl + F James since theres like 700 essays haha.
James
Hi isabel…….its great….ThankS a lot……zeeshoo10
Oi, get red of the crap diet DR pepper!!!
Nice videos Isabel. Sometimes it’s hard to work out the difference in things you have in the US compared to here in Australia. Like HFCS I’ve never seen that as an ingredient in anything here, So what might it be called here???
Love the videos! Great to see what\\\’s REALLY in your house. Wanted to ask you from awhile ago when you went shopping at grocery store and rounded up all the \\"bad\\" stuff: what is wrong w canola oil, and what is it exactly about the bread (even whole grain and wheat) that is bad? Don\\\’t really understand what processed means I guess and exactly what is wrong w it. Thanks! Have tried to eat less processed food after reading your manual. I\\\’m a flight attendant so I totally understand the traveling w food thing. Hard sometimes.
Hey Isabel,
Thank you for the videos of your kitchen. I noticed that most of the containers in your frige are glass and not plastic like most of us have. Where do you find them with lids for storage? Are they expensive and do they come in sets? I’m slowly trying to convert our kitchen, but I live with my parents so I’m still trying to break old habits. Thanks again, Isabel! BTW, Christian is absultely beautiful!
Maria
I’m wondering if you have heard of the company Isagenix. They have protein shakes and I was wondering if you would check them out and tell me what your opinion is of their products. You can go to isagenix.com. Also what do you think of Jordan Rubins products from Garden of Life.
Thank you for showing us your real kitchen. This will prove that we can not follow 100% the diet program that we are doing. What is important is that we are aware of the food that are good and bad for us. There are some limitations in following the diet programs considering the fact that organic foods are more expensive than ordinary ones. You are giving significant informations about dieting programs and at least we could select our food depending on the availability in the market and our budget. Thank you and more power.
Wonderful and so informative! You are inspirational and you do it all- with an infant, no less! I’ve been following your advice since the FYM days and you have helped me transform the way my entire family eats. I love the DSP and it can be done, even with a 4 year old and 2 1/2 year old. But it does take planning and preparation, just as you always say. These videos have been really helpful for me and I hope everyone grabs a copy of your e-book because it’s a wealth of information.
I have been lead to believe that nuts should be freshly cracked open before eating as they quickly go rancid if bought like the bagged ones in your fridge!!!
One doctor pepper cannot hurt, can it?
Finally, you are awesome and inspiring. You are doing a FANTASTIC job…
Hey Maria,
Pyrex makes some great glass containers with covers. You can buy them in most major department stores and places like bed bath and beyond.
Hey Damien,
It might be called corn syrup or something like corn fructose.
Hey Rob,
We use the stove top or the oven mostly.
Hi Isabel,
I would have loved to see that magic bullet you use to grind the flax seeds. Where did you get it? Is that the real name?
good to see that i am not the only person who reuses leftovers to make new meals. my son who was a soda addict (Coke was his down fall) has given up soda after coming down with the H1N1 flu and switched to juices. i have tried to make sure they 100% juice with as little of fructose as possible. hope your husband gives up the soda habit tell him that it is white man\’s poison especially if it is diet with the artifical sweetener. also like the other lady mentioned organic products are real expensive on a budget. i do try to make sure my spices are a good brand with no additives and i keep none past their dates plus anything i keep in freezer is dated
hey isabel i really need some help with this can you tell me if wraps are ok? or what other types in order for bread that can be suitable is rye bread a better choice, than whole wheat? i try not to eat any bread but if i do is whole wheat wraps good for you or rye bread can you tell me in order and i know most bread isnt that suitable in your diet. also are the egg whites a little better than the yolks? i always eat the whites hoping to improve more on my eating habits, i dont want much cholestral in my diet, im sure theres some nutriens in the yolks but is it worth it for the cholesteral?oh and if you cant get organic hamberger will normal hamberger be alright or will it be more harmfull than good?
Thank you for the hands on “real” video. It was great to see that I had found and use many of the ingreadients that you recommended and discovered some new ideas. Very helpful, and much appreciated.
I am new to your program and having great sucess (pause for the happy dance), however, struggling with the attack and letting go of the sweet tooth. Stick very nicely to your wonderful program for many days at a time then….. then mister sweet tooth sneeks in starts attacking. Do you have any recommendations/posts on how to keep the sweet tooth at bay so it dosen’t turn into the uncontrolled attack of the sweet tooth? Thanks again and congrads on your new healthy boy.
Leslie
Isabel,
Great videos. I hope you keep making them.
Someone recommended the Nu-Wave oven. I second that recommendation. I got one last year and I use it all the time. It is great not to have to defrost your meat and it works really well.
Someone else suggested looking at the labels on the dog food as well. I second that recommedation too. My dog was diagnosed with cancer three years ago and I was told she would be dead in three months. I found an holistic vet and she was put on a diet of all organic homemade meals and Chinese herbal supplements. It has been three years and my dog is still here and she is 14 years old!!! Processed dog food is the worst thing you can give your dog. If I can’t cook for my dog, she gets N/D canned food by Hill’s which is specifically made for dogs with cancer or another holistic/organic dog food. So yes, we need to watch what we feed our dogs as well as ourselves.
Hi Isabel,
Thanks for the videos i found them very interesting.
One thing that i was upsetting to me was the amount of \"leftovers\" that you said you would have to throw out. I always plan my eating around leftovers (keep them for up to 3 days in the fridge)even if my husband and I eat different things. i also use them for him to take to work so that he eats healthy. Might just be my own \"pet peeve\" but i hate waste and I was surprised you were going to cook something else when you seemed to have so much ready made stuff left in the fridge. If you didn\’t eat it would it lead to more things you would have to throw out?
I also live in a country where we don\’t have the range of organic things, or major shops to buy them in. Everything here is so expensive and not readily available. You are so lucky in the U.S. to have them. Thanks again great to see how other people live, cook, store things etc.Especially a new mum. Well done.
Thank you SO much for that thorough video. I\’d love to see:
- a video of your packed up lunch bag if you expect to be out all day
- your flax seed processor – I missed it if it was in there
- perhaps over a period of a few days, a quick viewing of each meal – absolutely everything you eat (I know, a PITA to do!)
Isabel,
I was disappointed to see Luna bars in your “Props” of what not to eat. I have to admit I live off Luna bars and Kashi bars since I’m rarely home to cook anything. I eat nuts, celery with peanut butter, apples, grapes, carrots with humus, and yogurt during the day but if I’m working my second job, all that food is gone and it’s Luna and Kashi bars for dinner. I figure that has to be better than hitting a fast food place or going to the cafeteria. At least I hope it is.
Hi Isabel
I really enjoyed your videos and your baby is a cute little ticket.
Just a few comments the nuts that you have should be stored in the freezer not the fridge. They will absorb the moisture if they are kept in the fridge.
Raw flax can also be kept in the fridge. Keeping them in the fridge will also help with any bug infestations which is out of your control this happens in the shipping process.
You didn’t show lentils or canned beans
The one thing that I was disappointed with is how much food you actually have to throw away. Vegetables aren’t so bad as they can be composted but the waste of the dishes with meat in it is pretty bad. I just feel it’s a waste of a good animals life. No I am not a vegetarian but I do respect animals.
Why don’t you use organic dog food and dog biscuits?
Look forward to more videos. It was good to see.
I would also be really interested to hear more about microwave ovens, so please cover that SOON.
Thanks for your insight, advice and recipes.
Thanx for showing us around your kitchen.I really love watching your videos they are very informitive and so helpful..
So glad to hear you are doing a post on microwaves.
Also, we have tons of eggs in our fridge so am glad to see you do too.
Isabel, I just had to tell you that my husband gave me the best compliment – he listened to your videos as I was watching them and said it sounded like you were going thru our cupboards! How flattering.
One question about frozen produce – you didn’t seem too excited about it. Isn’t just as nutritious, if not more so depending on how long produce sits in the stores or in your refrigerator. We always have at least five kinds of berries as well as mangoes and spinach in our freezer in addition to the fresh produce. Please comment.
Isabel,
I REALLY enjoyed these videos and the fact that you kept it REAL! I agree with so many, organic food is SO expensive! I hate to hear you say you have to throw so much food out!! When i have leftovers like that I will make a kind of “mock tv dinners” and store them in the freezer. They are convenient to pop in the oven when I don’t have time to cook. Is there anything wrong with storing food in foil in the freezer???
Isabel thanks for answering my question regarding heating up left overs! You save my wife and I some money because that’s what we have been doing. Do you use any type of special dish to re-heat leftovers or the dish that it was cooked in. Again thanks and my wife said to tell you the baby is adorable!
Hey Rob,
It’s usually the dish that it was cooked in or a sauce pan. This, of course, depends on the food.
Thanks for opening up your kitchen and being honest! I was very excited to see that our contents are almost the same. I haven\’t used a microwave in 11 yrs. It\’s amazing how easy it is to get used to not having one. We use a convection toaster oven for smaller things at lunch. I thaw out frozen meat in a 200 degree oven to cook that night. Just keep an eye on it. I haven\’t seen the powdered coconut milk. Might have to try that. I hate nuts so I put them in my smoothies and can\’t taste them. We also have a Vitamix that we use allll the time. Thanks again.
Hi Isabel,
I enjoyed your videos, like some of your other viewers I cannot afford to go all out organic but I have a good organic vege garden and am slowly trying to grow more variety. Instead of grass fed beef we eat a lot of Kangaroo meat it is very tasty as lean. I have a question for you about the every other day diet and the whole leptin thing and needing to give your body a boost by having cheat days what is your take on all that?
Hey Lynne,
I believe that cheat meals and days can boost your metabolism and help you to burn more fat. I do say that when you have these cheat meals or days, move on from them as if they never happened. Continue eating your healthy foods as if you never had that piece of cake or lasagna.
Hey Tina,
Nope, as long as you are eating them before they go bad, this should be fine.
Hey Linda,
Frozen produce can be a good back up plan just make sure to read the ingredients and make sure you are eating only the vegetables.
Hey Cheryl,
After a long trial and error process with our dogs, we’ve found that the Rachel Ray brand is the best for their digestion and overall health.
Hey Leslie,
You can try eating some fruit or adding some dried fruit with no sugar added to your nuts as a nice snack. This can really be helpful in combating those cravings for sweets.
Hey Ryan,
Food For Life’s Ezekiel Products makes wraps. Those are great or you can try eating spelt bread. That is also a good alternative. As long as you are eating organic eggs, the yolk is fine. It provides you with Omega-3s, which are good fats that can help to normalize cholesterol levels. Finally, you’d be better off eating organic hamburger meat, but if you cannot access it commercial meat won’t hinder your weight loss efforts.
Hey Cathy Jo,
Crystal Light is still pretty bad as it contains artificial sweeteners. You can brew your own tea, add lemon and stevia, and cool it yourself. If you try different kinds, you might find one that you enjoy.
Hey Kathy,
Check out the chapter on fats in the manual for more info on Canola oil. The whole grain bread is more about it making people feel bloated and this bloat hindering their weight loss. Spelt and sprouted grain bread are less likely to do this.
Hey Sherry,
You can buy it at different department stores or at places like Target or Wal-Mart.
Hi Isabel,
Thanks for the tour of your kitchen.
I am an avid reader and devotee of TDSP as well as The Fat Burning Kitchen and now I have just purchased Cheat Your Way Thin. I am in the process of incorporating all 3.
I do have a few questions and topics for future blogs/videos:
1. Are there any decent protein shakes that are ok to use in Canada? Until Prograde is available here, I will not be able to purchase due to having to pay import tax ontop of the cost.
2. I would appreciate a blog or details on why some people are so thin and healthy (or appear healthy) but eat so much crap. I find it extremely hard to eat healthy (organic/gluten free/soy free/sugar free etc) and I still am not convinced I am losing weight and it just annoys me to see so many people eat what they want and it appears they have no problems whatsoever. If it is about metabolism, then wouldn\’t theirs suffer from eating so much sh*t?
3. Would love to hear your opinion on the Master Cleanse (aka the lemonade diet). What is your opinion on detoxing/fasting.
4. Perhaps you could dig up a recipe for sugar free Ketchup?
5. I, too, would love to see your kitchen after you have stocked it up.
6. With regard to your Diet Dr Pepper debarkle, would regular Dr Pepper be better than diet? I know you will probably say neither – but which is the better of two evils?
7. Last question, I promise. What do you eat on a \’Cheat day\’?
Just a comment regarding left overs, perhaps you could freeze them straight away after cooking in separate containers – they wouldn\’t spoil so quickly.
I love reading your blogs & newsletters, I know you are busy but I would love to read more new ones. What can I say, I\’m addicted lol.
Big hugs and kisses to you and your family,
Bonnie
Isabel,
Just a quick question.
In the Fat Burning Kitchen it says that Lara Bars are ok occassionally. I keep one in my bag just in case.
What is your opinion on the bars that Mike says are ok to use?
I am trying to mesh TDSP, the fat burning kitchen and now Cheat Your Way Thin.
Perhaps you could do a video or blog on The Fat Burning Kitchen and how to incorporate all three together or how to incorporate TDSP and The Fat Burning Kitchen together like you did with TDSP and Cheat your way thin.
thanks a bunch,
ps- happy thanksgiving! I am thankful for you and your program.
Bonnie
Hi Isabel,
Here in Toronto they have these Omega 3 brand eggs. I am confused as to whether they are as good as eating Organic or Free Range eggs.
Would love your opinion.
Bonnie
Dear Isabel,
I just purchased you diet solutions yesterday. I love it! I bought many of the things you mentioned on the shopping list and got rid of most of the foods you said to not eat. However, I am having a very hard time eating the eskiel ,9 english muffins or bread. Yuck! is all I can say. Is there any alternative? I don\’t mind baking but I need something that has more taste to it. I am not a big bread eater and I did eat wasa crackers with my breakfast but the do have ingredients that you said to avoid. Again, thank you for all the information. I got your website suggested to me via Mike Geary\’s newsletter. I am doing all of the workouts he has suggested awesome! Best Wishes
Linda MacArthur
Hey Linda,
You can try spelt bread as well. You might enjoy this better. Look for Vermont Bread, this is a pretty decent brand.
Hey Bonnie,
They should be the same as organic or free range eggs.
Hey Bonnie,
Lara bars are good but I wouldn’t rely on them as meal replacements. They are the better choice in terms of a protein bar, but I wouldn’t substitute eating natural foods for this.
Hi Isabel love all the information you give out. Wanted to know if you can send me how to make your famous salad dressing. I missed it on Mike gearys fat burning kitchen.
Thank you
Edison
Hey Edison,
Two parts oil, one part apple cider vinegar, a tsp of mustard and some fresh grated parmesan cheese. Enjoy!
Hi Isabel!
Thanks for the videos and info! I have been keeping my EVOO in the fridge because I thought it might go rancid if left out on ccounter/in cabinet… I noticed you keep yours in the cabinet… Once you open it, do you stlll keep it in cabinet or is it best to keep in fridge. Problem with keeping it in fridge is that I have to get it out to let it ‘melt’ before using it
Thanks for your time!
Donna
Hey Donna,
I keep it out of the fridge. I also use it well before the expiration date.
Thanks Isabel for inspiring me to [once again] do something about my body and my health. From all I have read and implemented do far I am sure that the DSP is my answer! Just over a week into the program and already I have much more energy and have lost weight! I am a wife, mother and grandmother and have always [or so it seems] battled with excess weight.
A lot of the products that you mention are not available to me, but we do grow quite a lot of our own veggies organically plus we have chickens and our own organic beef so that is a blessing. Someone else mentioned kangaroo meat. In the recipes could I use this instead of the buffalo meat? Thanks also for your encouraging emails and videos. Your little boy is beautiful! Hopefully the teething episode will soon be over and you can get a good nights sleep.
Hi Isabel – I just started TDS this week and learn something new every day catching up on your blogs. Thanks for the kitchen tour! You are so organized and have inspired me to do the same.
With a last name of De Los Rios…I did’nt see any avocados, jalapeno’s, garlic, onions, or limes for guacamole? Do you and your family enjoy mexican food? I’m from San Antonio and was raised on it. Your program has inspired me to say no to flour tortillas and white rice. Do you have suggestions for me on what is best to choose or stay away from? So you know…i love to cook tamales and am going to create an organic recipe in your honor.
My fiance and I are getting married on 10-10-10…on your program I know I can lose 10 pounds before then. Thanks again for coming into our lives and giving us a WHOLE FOOD new direction.
Your baby is soooo cute!
Hey Isabele! Your the bomb!
